Green Laser Pointer

Remember when the first laser pointer came out? Now, suddenly you had a way to project a red laser beam across the room. Some people thought that technology had finally reached the point of absurdity. What practical use could there be for something like that?

Now, it is hard to live without one. Teachers use them to point out things on the whiteboard. Kids use them to play. Most families probably have a few laser pointers sitting around the house because they have become incredibility cheap. Would you like to go to the next level?

This laser pointer is the next step and now we are talking five-star. The purpose of a green laser pointer is to give you more power. When you try one, you will notice that it is much brighter than the red ones. In fact, a green laser pointer is about fifty times brighter. The other benefit is that it is much more noticeable than the red pointers. A green laser operates on a 532nm wavelength while the red color pointers are 650nm wavelength. That means that a green laser has much more brightness and strength.

Another thing about a green laser is that you can use it under conditions that make the red point almost worthless. A green laser pointer can be seen in dark conditions better and you can see the whole laser beam, not just the light dot at the end. This means that you can use it to more easily pick out star constellations at night if that it want you desire to do with it.

Because it is so much brighter than the red lasers, a green pointer can be seen at a much farther distance. This is good if you are trying to signal someone far away.

The technology of the green laser pointer is completely different from a red pointer. A red pointer is a direct diode, sort of like a special light bulb. A green laser pointer shoots an infrared beam at another crystal that then creates the strong, green laser beam.

Why would you want to pay the extra money for a green laser? For one thing, the range is incredible. At night in the dark, a green laser pointer can be seen 9,000 feet away. That is almost two miles and is one reason people like the green laser pointer for sky watching. In addition, with that kind of power and distance, you should not be without one when you go camping or hiking. Who knows when you might need it to get out of trouble? Because you can actually see the beam of a green laser pointer, someone looking for you can follow the beam back to its source.

Get into the 21st century with your laser pointer. Get a green laser pointer.
